The New “Where To Golf” iPhone App
Carpe Diem Ventures just launched its newest iPhone app, Where to Golf, which allows you to look up a golf course by location, course name, zip code or city, and Sandbox8.com has the full review.
The app is very simple to use and gives you four ways to search for golf courses: My Location, Course Name, Zip Code and City. Once you’ve entered your data, the search results list course name, price, course rating, distance from your location, number of holes and whether several main course features are available, such as driving range, restaurant, bar and carts.
There’s even more information available when you select a specific course. Each course listing shows distance from your current location, type of course (public/resort/etc), address, access to their Web site, green fee prices for weekend, weekday, and twilight where applicable, current weather conditions for the course, and tee box’s par, yardage, rating and slope.
I don’t think many golfers need much more information about a course than this, but if you do, you can view information ranging from training facilities to caddies under the details section of the course listing.
And of course, when you’re ready to call the golf course, just press the phone icon to call them directly. It really doesn’t get much easier than this, and for $1.99, Sandbox8.com says it’s “worth trying out”.
Have you tried the new “Where to Golf” app yet? What other golf apps do you find helpful?
